Due to heightened safety measures placed during the pandemic we are decreasing the exposure from shippers, moving crew, warehouse crew, for our out of state transfer by sealing the shipments for 24 hrs. after loading. This helps limit the possibility of spreading any contaminates. As you know our line of work is unique which involves heavy labor that requires crew members to physically handle each item. This is one of the many steps we are taking to help slow the spread.
How it works:
When the shipment is picked up from your residence the items will be loaded into the cargo bay of the truck, the driver will provide you with an envelope that has a shipping seal with a serial number unique to your shipment, at this time you will place the seal on the locking mechanism of the cargo door.
All your shipping documents will be provided to you prior to move date and on the move date shall you have any changes. your inventory documents will be provided within 2 business days after seal is broken by warehouse.
Off to the Races!
As the truck returns to warehouse it will be held in que for 24hrs to ensure all surfaces are safe for the next crew to unload and handle items. The warehouse foreman will call to confirm the seal number and begin the inventory and packaging process. This will be the time where shipment will be disinfected (if necessary) , blanket wrapped and prepared for delivery, once completed the inventory will be sent digitally to your email for signature along with any photos if necessary. Please note this is for our jobs picked up within California, for our clients picked up out of state this process will not apply.
We understand that this process seems very time consuming or can be frustrating. With the risk to all parties involved it is company requirement to ensure a safe work environment for our staff and crew.
