In some cases some moving companies will overbook or have cancelations and equipment issues causing them not to be able to service the move. It is normal to have empty days on a schedule we take on jobs from brokers to supplement the off days to keep our staff and crew working . we try to do our best in working with a small amount of professional companies who have the same values and ethics as us. In these cases they can contract another company to service the job in order to keep the shippers schedule. In some cases we are faced with in accurate estimates which are common mistakes or challenges when shipments are not properly estimated since not visual estimate is done or proper inventory of items is not provided. American Pacific Transportation will always do quality assurance call to verify this well in advance to make sure these issues do not arise on move date in order to give shipper alternate options if the rate increase or revision is not within the budget. Some cases we would not have the option is if the job was a last minute booking or short notice was given to our company and we did not have enough time to do the quality assurance at that time the mover will do it on site and will not load until shipper approves changes. If we fail to pick up your shipment yes it is completely refundable, however if you cancel 5 days prior to the move date, unfortunately it is non refundable. It's always good to keep a line of communication open with the Dispatcher or relocation specialist to ensure the best possible outcome.
It is highly recommended to take the Full Packing Service to ensure the least amount of damage to your shipment, however it is completely optional.
